A short drive inland, the Eastern Desert offers dramatic mountain scenery, star-filled skies and traditional Bedouin-style evenings — a memorable contrast to days on the coast.

As the heat of the day fades, the Old Town arcades and the promenade fill with people — restaurants, cafés, bars and a French bakery, and a long walk by the water to begin or end the evening.

Pools free · Beaches charged separately
Pools & beaches
The three swimming pools at Bay Village are free for our guests, all year round — that is the swimming included in your stay. The resort’s sandy beaches sit about a hundred metres away, with loungers, cabanas and a beach bar, but they belong to the property developer rather than to us. The developer sets and collects their own entrance fee and it varies, so we cannot include it or quote a rate. Ask us before you travel and we will tell you what is being charged.

Cairo & Luxor
Egypt’s two great days out are both reachable from the Red Sea. Our team can arrange a visit to the pyramids at Giza and the Grand Egyptian Museum, or to Luxor for the Valley of the Kings and the Valley of the Queens.

Arrival & transfers
Hurghada International Airport (HRG) is 18 kilometres north of the bay, around half an hour by road. Tell us your flight details in advance and we will arrange your pick-up and return at normal rates — no negotiating with drivers at arrivals after a long flight.
